Mr Daniel Kuek is the Director of USS IEO, a national platform which works with public sector agencies, research performers and companies to drive commercialisation efforts for the USS domain. Prior to this, Daniel was the Director of Strategic Planning in Enterprise Division, and also served as Deputy Director in A*STAR’s SME Office. Before joining A*STAR in 2014, Daniel served in various capacities in both public and private sector entities, including the Ministry of Trade & Industry (2004 to 2010) and Keppel Corporation (2010-2014).
Building Bridges to Support Translation of Technology from Lab to Market.

The presentation will cover common challenges faced by researchers and companies in bringing technology from lab to the market, and how USS IEO hopes to facilitate more public-private partnerships to translate RIE-funded technologies in various USS sectors (e.g. built environment, water, circular economy, etc) into products and services to benefit companies and citizens.
